FWCS are proud to support Watford Peace Hospice
"You matter because you are you, and you matter to the last day of your life."
Dame Cecily Saunders, Founder of the hospice movement

The Peace Hospice is based in Watford. It provides a warm, friendly and supportive environment in which everyone feels welcome. The philosophy of hospice care is the simple idea that every life is of value and that every person is much more than their illness.
A specialist team of doctors, nurses and therapists use their expertise and skills to care for people with a terminal illness and provide support for their families and carers. The Hospice has been carefully designed making best use of natural materials, light and space so that it provides a warm, friendly and supportive environment in which everyone feels welcome.
In the Peace Hospice day care and inpatient units they do much more than simply manage pain and treat symptoms; a range of therapies like massage, physiotherapy and relaxation techniques help patients to come to terms with their condition.
A social work/ family services team is there to help patients and their families with practical and psychological issues. Bereaved families and friends are supported through the Peace Hospice bereavement service, which also runs the 'STARS' grief programme for children.
The Peace Hospice - where everyone matters.
