After Eurolink Software had exhausted all existing resources for Linley & Simpson who had severe performance issues with their Eurolink application deployed to multiple sites via terminal services they turned to FWCS Group to help them resolve the problem.

A top executive for Eurolink Software sought consultancy from FWCS Group who assigned an expert technical engineer who had successfully integrated a Eurolink application via terminal services for another multi site customer. After an initial conversation with the Eurolink staff FWCS Group began investigating and quickly identified a number of bottle necks contributing to the problem.

Problems ranged from under specified server hardware for both the main central server and terminal servers, through to poor maintenance of the operating systems and installed software. The servers also had missing drivers, outdated firmware and inappropriately configured hardware. The antivirus wasn’t network aware causing further excessive delays.

With over 10 years experience in server based computing FWCS Group recognises that network infrastructure also contributes to the end users experience. FWCS Group confirmed that the internet connections were not the most powerful available to the customer at each location whilst the internal infrastructure was excessive, not powerful enough and too complex for the requirement.

Once FWCS Group identified over 70 contributing factors and compiled a report of each, the reason behind them and offered remedial action to remedy the problem. Eurolink Software are currently working through these and easing Linley & Simpsons pain with each one.
